First Visit to Kahve Dünyası at Ibn Battuta Mall
A Chocolate Lover's Dream
Everywhere you look, may iba't ibang chocolates na naka-display.
May chocolate bars, gift boxes, assorted treats, at kung anu-ano pang tempting goodies na talagang makakaagaw ng atensyon mo, especially if you're a chocolate lover.
Pero to be honest, hindi naman chocolates ang ipinunta namin doon that night.
We were there for coffee, food, and of course, quality time with friends.
The Free Chocolate Samples Were a Pleasant Surprise
Of course, game naman kaming tatlo, aarte pa ba? 😄
What I loved most was that their chocolates weren't overly sweet.
They offered three variants:
White Chocolate
Milk Chocolate
Dark Chocolate
The slight bitterness of the coffee bean combined with the rich dark chocolate was just perfect for me.
Food and Drinks That Didn't Disappoint
Thankfully, hindi rin sila nagpahuli. Everything we ordered was delicious. Walang tapon.
One thing I liked was that the sandwich came with a complimentary side salad, which was a nice touch.
The drinks was good, the food was satisfying, and the overall dining experience was enjoyable.
Why We'll Definitely Be Back
Our original plan was simple: coffee and catch-up.
But Kahve Dünyası ended up giving us a lot more than that.
From the cozy atmosphere and friendly service to the delicious chocolates, coffee, and food, it turned into one of those café experiences that you'll want to repeat.
And honestly?
One visit wasn't enough.
After trying their chocolates—especially those chocolate-coated coffee beans—we already knew we'd be coming back for more.
Our first visit to Kahve Dünyası at Ibn Battuta Mall definitely won't be our last.
And if you're looking for a cozy café where you can enjoy good coffee, tasty food, and a little chocolate indulgence while catching up with family or friends, this place is definitely worth a visit.

A Quick Singapore Adventure During Our Vacation
We recently had the chance to visit and explore Singapore, kahit saglit lang—and the best part?
Libre ang plane ticket! 😍
As an OFW based in Dubai, isa sa mga common benefits na natatanggap namin from our employers is 30 days annual leave plus a return ticket to our home country.
But this time, naisip namin na gawing opportunity ang layover.
Instead of booking the usual flight, we intentionally chose one with a much longer stopover—around three days in Singapore.
And here's the interesting part: mas mura pa nga minsan ang ganitong flight compared sa direct route!
So sabi namin, bakit hindi sulitin?
Kung dadaan din lang naman kami sa Singapore, why not spend a few days exploring one of the countries on our travel bucket list?
At guess what?
Singapore has been on my Dream List for years.
In short, gusto kong ma-experience kahit konti yung mga experiences niya noon.
Kaya naman para sa akin, this trip wasn't just about visiting Singapore.
It was about creating new memories together while revisiting some of his old ones. ❤️
Day of the Flight ✈️
Excited is an understatement!
After months of planning and counting down the days, travel day finally arrived. There's always something exciting about airport mornings—the anticipation, the luggage, the boarding gates, and the thought that in a few hours you'll be somewhere new.
Day 1 in Singapore 🇸🇬
Our first day was all about taking everything in.
The moment we arrived, I immediately noticed how clean, organized, and efficient everything was.
Day 2 in Singapore 🇸🇬
Day 2 was when we started exploring even more.
Every corner seemed picture-worthy, and every stop felt like another item being checked off my travel bucket list.

Sadly, Wave Seafood Restaurant has now permanently closed. During our last visit, we noticed there had been a change in management, and unfortunately, the food just wasn’t as good as it used to be.
Even so, the memories — and the cravings 😅 — will always stay with us. Who knows, maybe soon we’ll discover a new seafood spot in RAK to fall in love with all over again.
🧄 Ingredients for Herb Butter Roast Chicken
- 1 kg whole chicken, cleaned and patted dry
- 2 cloves garlic, finely minced (or grated into a paste for stronger flavor)
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
- 1 tbsp fresh rosemary, finely minced
- Zest of ½ lemon
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 small lemon, halved (I usually use one half for roasting and save the other for dipping sauce)
- 1 small onion, halved
- 5 cloves garlic, lightly crushed (or 1 small head garlic, halved for stronger aroma)
🍋 How to Make Herb Butter Roast Chicken
Step 1: Prepare the Oven
Preheat your oven to 200°C.
Step 2: Make the Herb Butter
In a small bowl, mix together softened butter, minced garlic, rosemary, lemon zest, salt, and pepper.
Stir until well combined and fragrant—this is what gives the chicken its rich, herby flavor.
Step 3: Season the Chicken
Gently loosen the skin of the chicken using your fingers.
Spread half of the herb butter mixture under the skin, then massage it evenly.
Rub the remaining butter all over the outside of the chicken for a golden, flavorful crust.
Step 4: Stuff the Chicken
Fill the cavity with:
- lemon halves
- onion
- crushed garlic
Tie the legs together and tuck the wings under to prevent burning while roasting.
Step 5: Roast the Chicken
Place the chicken in a roasting pan and bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
Halfway through cooking, lower the temperature to 175°C and continue roasting until fully cooked and golden brown.
The internal temperature should reach 77–79°C.
Step 6: Rest Before Serving
Let the chicken rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
(This is also the perfect time for photos if you love capturing your food like I do 😄)
🍽️ Serving Suggestion
Serve this herb butter roast chicken with:
- fresh garden salad
- steamed rice
- roasted vegetables
- or mashed potatoes
✨ Recipe Notes (Personal Touch)
This roast chicken is one of those simple but comforting dishes I always go back to. The combination of butter, garlic, rosemary, and lemon makes the chicken juicy inside and beautifully golden outside.
