I Tried To Bake

I was still in grade 4 when I started cooking. My first dish was "Adobong Manok". Si nanay ang nagturo sa akin magluto nun, and as I was growing up, lagi ako nanonood ng pagluluto ng tita ko sa carenderia nya. I think that's how I learned to cook. But baking, hmmm... it was only during my second pregnancy, I started baking and I loved it! I started with cookies, then cupcakes, simple cakes, and breads. 

Almost everyday I was baking, yung tipong kahit pagod na sa maghapong work sa office plus drive pa ng 1-2 hrs pauwi... go pa din sa pagbake. Ganon kalakas ang trip ko, hindi uso ang pagod. Kaya halos araw araw din may baon akong cookies sa work. Kaya wag nang magtaka kung bakit mahilig sa baked goods si Owie, alam na this! 😄

Okay, fast forward... While we were planning for Owie's first birthday, I decided that I will make the cake, cupcakes, and cookie in a jar for giveaways. Insane right? Sa tulad kong walang proper knowledge sa baking at super newbie... lakas talaga ng loob kong gawin yun. Thanks sa internet, sa youtube, sa recipe books. Hahaha! 

And guess what? I made it! Yehey!!! It was a success baking project.

Oh! BTW, I never done fondant cake before...so this was my first time ever fondant theme cake design, even the cake topper was from scratch. Kaya pagbigyan nyo na naging color ni Barney. Hahaha!

Thank God at nagustuhan din naman ng mga nakatikim. So now, I think pwede na gawin business... order na mga Kapuso, Kapamilya, Kapatid...Kabayan! Hahaha!
