Let's Run

For the first time in my life here in Dubai, I joined a marathon. Omg!!!
Thankfully I survived! Hahaha!

About the Event: 

Empowering women since 2010

Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum - Chairman of the National Olympic Committee - the Dubai Women’s Run is the first such initiative in the Middle East celebrating the spirit of the Arab woman in the region.

The event is organized by Plan B and supported by the UAE Athletics Federation and Dubai Sports Council.

Embodying the never-say-die spirit of the woman of today, the event – over the years – has grown from strength to strength, attracting local, regional and international participation.

Before the race:

As I mentioned in the beginning, this is my first time to do this, that's why I need to practice or to condition myself. I had to go for a short run.

The Registration:

I was lucky to get a ticket for free, given by my dear friend. I did register online, on their website. After that, my friend collected my race kit. Too bad, I wasn't able to take a photo of the kit.
